St. Mary’s gathers together to worship God on Sundays.
We have two Sunday worship services – 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. We use the Rite II Eucharistic Prayers from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer as well as the Supplemental Eucharistic Liturgies. We have music at our 10:30 am service.
We believe children and youth are integral parts of our parish family and we encourage their attendance and participation at worship. Children and youth serve as acolytes, Lay Readers and sing in our Choir. We invite children to bring the gifts of bread and wine and food to the altar during the offertory.
St. Mary’s is blessed with a wonderful Music Director and Organist, Don Reinertsen.
Choir Rehearsals are on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am.
Worship services are supported by many parishioners who volunteer to serve on the altar guild and as communion ministers, readers, ushers, and tellers.
The two sacraments of the Episcopal Church are Baptism and Eucharist. At Baptism one becomes a full member of the Body of Christ and is able to fully participate in the Eucharist. Additional spiritual markers are confirmation, marriage, reconciliation of a penitent (private confession), orders (ordinations of deacon, priest, bishop) and unction (anointing for healing).
Baptisms are scheduled for parishioners with the Rector usually on major feast days, except during Lent.
MARRIAGE: Arrangements are to be made with the Rector at least six (6) months before the wedding. If the Rector agrees to solemnize the marriage, then marriage preparation sessions will be scheduled. As is directed by the canons of the Episcopal Church, at least one (1) of the party is to be baptized.
